Sharon Graham was born and raised in Alberta, Canada, where most of her family still resides. She is the youngest of six children and has a twin. Sharon graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Education, minor in Special Education and Spanish. She has been married for over thirty-seven years to her husband Scott, and they have four children - three girls, and one boy; and currently have three grandchildren.
Sharon’s family resided in California for most of her married life until a recent retirement of Scott’s employment from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after 32 years, led them to southern Utah where they currently reside.
Sharon has always been active in her church. The entire family have all served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has remained faithful. Scott and Sharon recently also returned from a mission where they served in Louisiana for an 18-month duration. It was an amazing experience and they returned with a great love for the people.
Sharon speaks Spanish (because of her first mission where she served in Bolivia) and has used it almost every day in her educational career where she taught English as a Second Language for more than twenty-six years.
Sharon loves everything about nature and is constantly in awe of all God’s creations. She loves hiking, and Canam rides as she gets to see more of this beautiful world. She loves to travel and hopes to travel the world one day. Sharon loves family time – nothing is more precious to her. She has a couple of horses that she broke, trained, and loves to ride. She has found a new love in writing and hopes to develop her new talent more. Sharon enjoys working with her hands, sewing, crocheting, and crafting. She has a big heart and loves helping all around her with whatever she can. Serving ‘one’ is a daily conviction for Sharon.
Sharon’s book is a first-time attempt of being an author. She has gained a love for writing and seeing her thoughts in printed form. She wants her story told of her son’s passing, so that others may be uplifted and touched, and see how God is involved in our lives and DOES bless us. Sharon felt very inspired to write her book as all the details fell into place. God has led her through this process to which she is extremely grateful.
“I know that this story can help someone that has had a loved-one pass on. When we let God lead, we will see the miracles,” quoted Sharon.
